A day in the life of Stacy

staying 'the same'

You know, I swear everyone wrote in my yearbook, "stay the same" or "never change" What? Am I supposed to live with my mom forever? Shall I continue to work at KFC for the rest of my life? Some people do remain frozen in time, I'm not one of those people right? I went to college, I got married, moved away, bought a house, got a job, had kids.
Then I moved back home. I'm walking through Lowes when I see my old high school spanish teacher, Mr. Ried, and we do that nod like we know each other. Then I think to myself, 'what a dork', and I realized that I haven't changed a bit. When I heard Julie refer to our seventh grade teacher, Sister Roseanne, as Sissy Rosey, I realized that none of my friends had changed either.
