the slide
We have a slide in our basement. Gabe has spent the last couple weeks trying to climb up it. Last week he succeeded. Since then he has been trying to figure out how to get down. Yesterday, he figured it out. He started off gingerly getting down on his belly and sliding down head first. By evening, he was throwing himself down head first. Once he even decided to skip the whole sliding thing and he jumped from the top and landed on his butt. He was fine, because I surrounded it in pillows and he landed on one. He actually thought it was fun, and I'm sure he has every intention to do it again. Isabella is so cautious about such things. Gabe is so fearless, I don't know what to do with him other than get him a helmet.
