Weekend with the Nuns

My mom went to Indiana this past weekend with Mrs. Sieve, her friend and my old first grade teacher, to celebrate with Sister Mary Gerard, who had a big shindig at the Mother house because she had been a nun for sixty years. My mom said the nuns could throw quite a party. Their were eight different rooms with eight different nuns celebrating different anniversaries. There were a couple that were celebrating 75 years as a nun. They should put that on the Today show. The mother house was close to Southbend which is home to Notre Dame. Sister Mary Gerard, by the way, was my brother's sixth grade teacher. She came back with my mom and Mrs. Sieve to party in Union, MO and see some old friends. She is going to the Immaculate Conception 8th grade graduation this week and is hoping to see her old nemesis, Chad's older brother, who should have a son graduating if my sources are correct. She said she had a special place in her heart for him. I don't think Sister Roseanne or "Sissy Rosey" feels the same way about you, Chad. Which, by the way, my mom ran into someone else that might ring a bell, not Sissy Rosey, because she isn't a nun anymore so she wouldn't have been at the motherhouse. She ran into Sister Ann Bernadette. Cue the music: "dum! Dum! DUM!" Sister Ann Bernadette was my very evil second grade teacher. She was reminiscent of an age old tradition of beating small children. Every day was full of fear for us seven year olds. When mom said she might run into her I told her to punch her in the face for me. Mom indeed did not punch her in the face. She said she was just as sweet and neighborly as can be and wanted to know how "her Stacy" was. What a bitch.
Anyway, Sister Mary Gerard is pretty cool and I'll be eating lunch with her tomorrow. She's a pistol as they would say. It should be interesting.

The way that you and I remeember Sister Ann Bernadette is the way John remembers sister Mary G. By no means was he any saint, but she wasn't the sweetest peach her self, we lucked out and she left before we made it to the sixth. and blackeyed sissy rosey....to much ammo to even start there....Am I going straight to the fiery place for all this sister-dissin?

Elliott wasn't at all tramatized by her, and he was evil to the core. I'm just glad Sister Ann Bernadette isn't going to be at my mom's house tomorrow.
