the zoo
I went to the zoo with my grandma yesterday. We had the darndest time finding animals, AT THE ZOO! We started off on this path we thought would take us to the elephants, but we ended up on this nature walk for what seemed like forever. Then we got to someplace that seemed like it would have animals, but they were cleaning the cage so there were no animals. They were basically cleaning cages all over where we were trying to see animals. Then we got to the elephants, grandma's favorite, and they had like bulldozers in there! The elephants were in the background, WAY in the background. The highlight was the hippos. I got the coolest picture. They were in this big pile underwater sleeping. Every once in a while there nose would float up and they would take a breath and then float back down. It was great. We rode the train all the way around too. The kids liked that. I got some cute pictures of Isabella and Grandma. But we decided no more zoo for a couple years until the kids were older. They didn't get much out of it, and we didn't get to see that many animals. We are going to stick with Grant's Farm. It is right next to Grandma's house, and they have a train and elephants.
