King Kong
I held off on my review of King Kong to give anyone that wanted to see it, a chance to see it. Generally, you are just sitting there going, "blah, blah, blah, where is skull island?" through the first half. Then you get to skull island, and it is awesome. Special effects out the wazoo. What is the scariest part? The people of skull island. Holy shnikeys! What is with those people? They gave me the heebie jeebies big time. So this is the one thing I have a problem with in terms of believability. So Adian Brody leads this band to go save Anne, people die, he risks life and limb numerous times, finally gets to her, they risk life and limb all over again trying to get back to the boat, all in the name of love... then he doesn't even call her when they get back! Are you fucking kidding me? He battles critters great and small to save a woman, which takes balls of steel, then when it comes to getting her number, this is where he decides to puss out? I was really buying the dinosaurs and the giant ape, but they really lost me when he didn't call her. Thumbs up to skull island, thumbs down to him not calling her, thumbs up to Adrian Brody's chest (somebody's been working out).
