flashback

I had a flashback to an incedent in my childhood yesterday. One year for Christmas, I was given a dictionary. It wasn't one of those presents you do flips over, but it was a nice harcover dictionary and it was aimed for younger people, it was appreciated and I used it all the time. One day, I'm doing homework and I look up for my dictionary and it was gone. I questioned my mother as to its whereabouts and she said that she gave it to my brother since I never used it. What a kick to the teeth! She never watched me do my homework, how would she know if I used it or not? Did she expect me to read it as I was eating at the table? I was highly annoyed and threw quite the fit and got my dictionary back as this was quite unjust. I had visions of this when Todd returned home for visiting his friends in Colorado. He said he wanted to send our double jogging stroller to his friend, Don, because I "never used it." First of all, I use that thing all the time, it is just that Todd is never here, so he has no idea what goes on here. I could jog naked down the street two hours a day and he would never know it. Second of all, he insisted on buying the most expensive one ever made and ordered it off the internet and everything so we even had to pay shipping on the enourmous thing, we are going to put the kids in that until they go off to college. I am a stay at home mom, I own four strollers, I use them all, if you try to indicate otherwise, you are crusin for a brusin.
