working the system
I found that by giving my name to the right baby companies, they, in turn, would whore my name out to the formula companies, who would send me coupons and free samples. I, in turn, decided to give out the names of my friends and family, and they have been collecting coupons and free samples for me. The formula I use is Enfamil. They give you checks instead of coupons, which basically means the checker just rings it in different. I have a crazy lot of these checks. Like forty. So I go to Wal-Mart one day and try to buy three cans of formula at once using three checks at once. The checker is not amused. Of coarse the checks say you can only use one at a time and they are all in different names. She is pissed and calls the manager over. The manager is my age, and she has those goofy buttons on her vest that have pictures of her very small children. She told her to ring that shit up. I knew SHE would be on my side. So I go to Shunucks today and buy three cans. My mom is with me and I tell her to get three coupons out and she accidently got out four and she couldn't remember how many I got, there was a little confusion. The checker guy was like, "they are checks, you can use as many as you want." So he ran them all through even though I had more checks than I did actual products. One of the checks was even for something I didn't even buy, he totally didn't care. Score. And that... is another reason why Wal-Mart sucks, and Schnucks is better.
