Backstreet's Back

So I read this article about how the Backstreet Boys are back. The thing I found most facinating is how much they hated InSync. InSync was more successful than they were, but are they right to assume that if InSync never existed that they would have sold more albums? I was under the impression that they SHARED the same fans and that it is a likely assumption that whoever bought one of their albums ALSO bought one of the InSync ones. Its not like their fans returned their Backstreet CDs to the store and used the money to buy an InSync CD. Its not like they were touring the same cities at the same time, forcing fans to chose to attend one concert or the other. Most girls have plenty of wall space for posters of both groups. You either like their music or you don't. If another group is out there that is similar to yours, chances are, their fans will also buy your CDs too. They might kick you out of the #1 spot, which can sting, but c'mon, few people out there only own ONE CD. I have no intention of buying the Backstreet CD, I don't own, any of their old CDs, and I don't own any InSync CDs either. I do own the Justin Timberlake CD, however. I like it, its catchy, and it makes me think of my college clubbin' days. So Backstreet, you are just going to have to deal with that. I'm not buying your stupid CD and it don't have anything to do with Justin Timberlake. Get over it.
