the beater van
So I'm driving my mom's extra old beater van as my 'daily driver'. We have a protege 5 but Todd takes it to work. We sold our two two door cars since they aren't good to have for kids. I thought I would take one for the team and drive the beater while we sold our house and then paid off the rest of our other car. It is ugly but I decided I wasn't embarrased by it. Although, strangly, I was mortified when we went to see a movie and Todd insisted on wearing a Drizzit t-shirt. INSISTED. So anyway, the van has been having some transmition troubles. Todd found out that its emergency setting was second gear. So if it things there is something wrong, it will put itself into second. Do you know what its like to be crusin' down the highway when a car slams itself into second? Well, its not cool. So now I just drive to my mom's house real slow, and that's about the only place I can go without hitching a ride. Awesome.
