The FAIR
I went to the fair today. Not just any fair. The first day of the Washington Town and Country Fair. I'm sure Nicole will be on the news. All the "city folk" news reporters show up every year from their fancy city kingdom to visit the lowly fiefdom of WashMO. I took Isabella and Cole with my Aunt Sally. It was crazy hot today. The kids loved Agriland. For those that don't get it, its short for Agriculture Land. They played in the three giant boxes of soybeans, corn, and wheat and played with some baby piggies. Isabel pointed out the ducks to me, OF COARSE! General amounts of overheated fun. We'll be back tomorrow. For it is Isabella's birthday and the modus operani is fun. I just made her a t-shirt that has Elmo on it with a big #2 and it says: It's my birthday. To go in the way back machine for a moment: twenty years ago I won a t-shirt decorating contest. I loved puff paints, which were specifically for painting on shirts. The winning shirt was horrendous by the way, but I made it with the school mascot on it, so I think I got points for school spirit, even though it was a local store, not the school holding the contest, but I digress... I went to wal-mart yesterday and bought some puff paints, and I just painted the Elmo t-shirt with them. It isn't the greatest painting ever, but I did it myself for my daughter on her birthday, so I think I should, once again, get points for trying.

I am planning to go Saturday night for the "high school reunion" in the beer garden.
I saw Julie Glosemeyer at Agriland yesterday. Apparently she has a daughter, maybe. We said hi but didn't exchange life stories.
ah the puff paint era....it was the best of times...katie
