I was watching a new video with Isabella yesterday. It is a Sesame Street one about Halloween. This sequence started and two seconds into it I got the world's biggest case of the heebbie jeebies as well as a big old case of deja vu. The scene started on the foot of a giant statue and Bert and Ernie are in explorer outfits. This, if you haven't figured it out, was a scene from my hey day of watching Sesame Street in the early 80s, and they resurrected it for this new Halloween DVD. B&E were exploring the insides of a pyramid and they discover two statues that look like themselves. When Bert leaves the room, the Ernie statue comes alive and taps Ernie. It is so fucking creepy it is weirding me out just talking about it. He does it twice and eventually ends up dancing and singing with Ernie, in a very creepy voice, might I add. The whole thing continues to haunt me. I can't wait to watch it again.
